When I am Weak . . . Then am I Strong

We all want to be super wife, super wife, and super mom. We want our children to always sit perfectly, act perfectly, and talk perfectly. We think our homes must be spotless and in perfect order at all times. The list goes on. Are you getting the “perfect” picture?

I know there are many times when I fall on my knees, tears streaming down my cheeks and I cry out to the Lord,
“Lord! I can’t do this. There are so many of them, and just one of me. Every time I turn around another little one needs me. Sometimes I don’t even remember what I was doing.
Lord, I just don’t know how to do all of this!!!”

BINGO!!!! This is exactly where the Lord wants me. Weak and needing Him.

II Corinthians 12:10 says, “For when I am weak, then I am strong.”

When I “feel” as if I can do it all, I don’t look to the Lord for help. I act as if I am sufficient in and of myself. but when I weak, and I can’t handle everything, the only place I can turn is to the Lord! I must run to His everlasting arms, seek His face, and let go of trying to control everything myself.

So the next time your children are crying during church or in the store and you just want to hide, remember to cry out to the Lord, lean on Him and He will strengthen you!

Grace of God

John Newton penned the words, “Amazing grace, how sweet the sound that saved a wretch like me. . . ”

On days like today, when I realize how I have failed as a daughter of God, a wife, and a mother, I am most grateful for the grace and mercy of God. I am grateful for His forgiveness and love. I am amazed at how He could love me each day, despite my failures.

Did He die for nothing?

“If you’re OK and I’m OK, what was Jesus doing on the cross?” ~ Elisabeth Elliot

“I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing!” Galatians 2:21
