Happy New Year! It is hard to believe that it is 2013. I don’t know if there is anyone else who struggles like I do, but it is easy for me to make goals for the new year but never follow through. This is mostly because I make my goals so complicated. This year I am determined that things are going to be different.
I have decided to make goals for this year, but I am keeping the actual goal very simple. I have these goals printed and posted a number of different places in my home – above my kitchen sink, in my planner, and in my Bible. There are six areas I want to focus on. Though the daily application of these goals is a bit more involved, these goals are the driving force and the foundation of the choices I make this year.
Be faithful in spending time with the Lord.
Be purposeful in growing in my relationship with my husband.
Be intentional about teaching and spending quality time with my Littles.
Be consistent in teaching and training the children in the fear of the Lord.
Be disciplined in carrying out daily tasks.
Be loving reaching out to those who are hurting.
